Travel Information

Get the Local Currency (NT$, or New Taiwan Dollars)

If you don’t have time to get the local currency in advance, you may change money at the Taoyuan International Airport. Bank of Taiwan, the government-run bank, offers the same rates across all their branches. 


Get to Taipei from the Taoyuan International Airport

1. Taoyuan Airport MRT (Mass Rapid Transit)

–Take the express train, which runs every 15 minutes and gets to the Taipei Main Station in 36 minutes.

–Fare: NT$150 (approx. US$5).

–Purchase tickets at a ticket machine. You may want to purchase an EasyCard there, which can also be used for public transportation in Taipei.

2. Taxi

–Fare: NT$1,200-1,400 (approx. US$40-47).


Get to NTU Campus from Anywhere in Taipei

1. Taipei MRT (Mass Rapid Transit)

–The Green Line. Station: Gongguan.

2. Bus

–The campus is on dozens of bus routes. These stops are closest to the conference venue: MRT Gongguan Station, National Taiwan University.

3. Taxi

–Fare estimate (Taipei Main Station to NTU campus): NT$180-200 (approx. US$6-7).


Get around Town

We recommend that you purchase an EasyCard if you plan to use public transportation, which is good for the MRT and buses in the city and also the Airport MRT.
